"Eternea"-ly Yours

Have you heard of Eternea?  If not, let me introduce it to you because I have been given the honor of being appointed to its executive council  (Kind of a “Really Big Deal”).  Eternea is an educational and outreach organization dedicated to inspiring personal and global transformation through the convergence of science and spirituality.  It was co-founded by Dr. Eben Alexander and John Audette.  The new chairman is Dr. Gary Schwartz.  Others on the Executive Council include Dr. Raymond Moody and former astronaut Edgar Mitchell.  I will be heading the new Spirituality Leadership Council.  I am humbled by this responsibility, but know that with Spirit’s guidance, we can do great things.

Many changes are in store for Eternea, with the first being a total overhaul and simplification of their website, www.Eternea.org.  Big goals include financing research that will help to bring the scientific community into agreement with the 7 postulates.  In the meantime, the leadership is seeking major donors and talent for the website overhaul.

Buried in the abundance of information on the site are the 7 cornerstone postulates which fit 100% with what I have learned from my work as an evidential medium.  Keeping it simple, the postulates all boil down to this:  we are eternal aspects of consciousness here to love one another.

I so support Eternea’s vision and mission that I have pledged a portion of all royalties from my upcoming book, “Wolf’s Message” to the organization’s “Renewing Hope for Humanity Project.”  Based on what Eternea hopes to accomplish, I think Wolf would approve.

Why So Long?

The email I sent out yesterday about my new blog caused quite a few on my waiting list for a reading to ask for an update.  The answer is:  “You are moving up, however slowly!”  If you read Ty’s blog, it might sound as if all we do is play.  Rest assured, in between exercise, writing, speaking, and the chores of daily life, I am give readings … seven days a week.  (Except on days in which I give presentations or those times when Ty and I run off and escape for BALANCE!)
The challenge is that even with well over two hundred people on my waiting list I only give one or two readings a day.  Why?  It’s a simple function of time and energy.  Not too long ago a woman came for a reading.  When it was over she shocked me by saying, “I’m a medium, myself, and I really just came to check you out.”  As I stood there thinking, “Isn’t that interesting!” she said, “And now I have to tell you, this was an honor.  You are the real deal.”  To that, all I can say is, “Thank you, Spirit.”
So I took the opportunity of being with a fellow medium to ask her why I feel so drained after my readings, limiting me to only one a day.  She replied, “It’s because you dig so deep.  You don’t just give a twenty-minute surface-level reading with fluffy messages.  You work at a really good connection, and you get nuggets of gold.”
I have to tell you, I sure appreciated the affirmation.  While I'm not happy with the snail’s pace at which my waiting list moves, at least now I see the bigger picture.   In the end, I hope it results in the best possible experience for those of you waiting as well as for your loved ones on the other side, for whom the wait is only the blink of an eye.

Teach Only Love

This beautiful testament of love arrived this morning from a friend:

"I am touring in Israel where I have been reading your postings.  Jesus lived and taught here over 2000 years ago.  Organized religion and time have caused this land to be worn, dirty, and always bickering. It's a way of life for them. It's quite shocking.  If you had not taught me the true meaning of life and love—that all is love and that we are part of THAT—I would not be able to connect to this as true Holy Land.

The people have it figured out.  They live together and respect their differences. Seems it's the politicians who have made it so complicated. The people get that they are a part of IT, too.  Nothing about their culture is similar to ours, except their belief in something bigger than ourselves.  A yellow Monarch butterfly flew in front of me as I waded in the Sea of Galilee. No one else saw it, but that's because it was there for me, to reassure me, and remind me that Love is always around me.

I truly understand the woman who asked to get off your list.*  I would have been there 8 or 10 years ago, myself. I so want to let others know that I was healed by a friend in love.  With all this rambling, what I am attempting to do is to say thank you for loving me enough to teach me what God has wanted me to know all along:  I am love, and I have both the ability and the desire to share that love with others."

Listening with the Heart

I received an email a while back from a woman who had once asked to be placed at the top of my waiting list for a reading.  She was looking forward to hearing from a loved one who had passed. Suddenly, she changed her mind and asked to be removed from my list. The reason? "My church teaching is against the practice of mediumship."

This woman had sat in on one of my talks about mediumship.  She heard the type of evidence that those on the other side share with me such as how they died, what kind of work they did, and other verifiable facts that I could not possibly know about them. She knew exactly what she was getting into when she initially asked for a reading.  And then she must have shared her excitement with someone in a position of “power” who used a tool called “fear” to influence her thinking.

What a shame that a woman who had initially followed her heart allowed someone to tell her what to believe rather than seeking first-hand experience. That's why I enjoy the freedom of asking for spiritual guidance and knowledge directly from the Source.  I enjoy being free to investigate a broad spectrum of beliefs.  I enjoy accepting and rejecting wisdom according to how it feels inside, instead of unquestioningly following what someone tells me I'm supposed to believe or do.

I didn’t spend too much time fretting over that woman’s decision.  It’s tremendously freeing to allow others to be exactly where they are on their own path.  It’s too bad, though, about the lost opportunity for her to hear evidence from her loved ones on the other side.  She could have then decided for herself if that experience was “wrong” or incredibly healing.  And it’s too bad about the lost opportunity for her loved ones.  I know they were pretty excited about the chance to reconnect. They want to talk to us as much as we want to talk to them.  That’s why I'll keep working to make that communication as clear as possible for the spirit world and for those here who are willing to follow their hearts.

An Honor ...

Yesterday I had the honor of introducing Dr. Norman Sheely to an audience of over 150 eager participants in his all-day workshop in The Villages hosted by Edgar Cayce's A.R.E.  Thanks to Frances Rolph and Debby Edgerton for asking me to do this.  All present enjoyed learning about energy medicine and ways to live longer, healthier lives.

On its way!

Friday, March 21st I submitted the finished manuscript for "Wolf's Message" to my new publisher, Hampton Roads Publishing.  What a great feeling!  For some silly reason I thought I'd be sitting around with time on my hands, but that hasn't happened yet.  At any rate, I feel like I did back in high school when I turned in a big term paper.  I'll keep you posted here as the production process moves along.
